Test Engineer | ToptanTR

As part of our consulting engagement with ToptanTR, we are looking for a Test Engineer to join the ToptanTR team.

ToptanTR is a multi-vendor B2B wholesale marketplace where sellers list and manage their products, buyers make wholesale purchases, and order, payment, shipping, commission and invoicing processes are all handled under one roof.

In this role, you will own the testing process end to end: not just verifying that a feature works, but investigating where and why the system might fail under different scenarios.

What You’ll Do

  • Functionally verify new features and bug fixes in test and staging environments
  • Test buyer, seller and admin flows end to end
  • Create comprehensive test scenarios for search, cart, campaigns, coupons, payment, orders, shipping and returns
  • Test boundary values, unexpected inputs, concurrent operations, price and cart manipulation, and authorization scenarios
  • Push the system against different user behaviors and potential abuse scenarios
  • Run load and performance tests with k6 or similar tools
  • Analyze test results and work with the development team to identify performance bottlenecks
  • Document test scenarios and testing guides
  • Report bugs in Jira with clear, reproducible steps
  • Identify test flows suitable for automation and automate them
  • Build, maintain and own pre-release regression test suites

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with manual and automated testing of web applications
  • A solid foundation in test design techniques, equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis and state transitions
  • Hands-on experience with at least one load testing tool such as k6, JMeter, Gatling or Locust
  • Effective use of browser developer tools
  • Knowledge of HTTP and REST APIs
  • Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools
  • SQL skills sufficient to independently verify test data
  • Ability to report bugs clearly, concisely and reproducibly
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

  • Testing experience in e-commerce, marketplace or payment systems
  • Test automation experience with Playwright, Cypress or Selenium
  • Knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and basic security testing
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Sentry
  • Mobile app testing experience
