Cloud & DevOps Team Lead
We are looking for a Cloud & DevOps Team Lead to provide technical leadership to Onkatec’s Cloud and DevOps team and take responsibility for the architecture and implementation of customer projects.
In this role, you will guide the team’s work and lead the development of secure, sustainable cloud solutions that fit each customer’s needs. Alongside technical decisions, knowledge sharing within the team, customer communication and project tracking will be key parts of the role.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the Cloud and DevOps team’s work, priorities and task allocation
- Lead the design and implementation of AWS architectures tailored to customer needs
- Drive the technical process of cloud migration, infrastructure modernization and DevOps projects
- Guide the team on Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, container and automation work
- Ensure infrastructures are regularly reviewed for security, performance, availability and cost
- Plan monitoring, alerting, backup and disaster recovery approaches according to each project’s needs
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis with the team during critical incidents
- Communicate technical risks, dependencies and progress openly with the customer and relevant teams
- Support the Sales and Account Manager teams with technical scoping and effort estimates
- Mentor team members and lead technical reviews and knowledge sharing
- Keep documentation and project delivery processes on track
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience designing and managing production environments on AWS
- Technical leadership experience in Cloud or DevOps projects
- Solid knowledge of Linux, networking and core cloud security
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar Infrastructure as Code tools
- Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monitoring, logging and incident management processes
- Strong command of high availability, backup and disaster recovery approaches
- Able to solve technical problems and clearly explain decisions to the team and customers
- Able to prioritize and track work across multiple projects
- English proficiency sufficient to lead technical meetings and write documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant AWS certifications
- Experience with Amazon EKS, Amazon ECS and multi-account AWS environments
- Experience with AWS Well-Architected reviews and cost optimization
- Experience working with GitOps, Argo CD or Helm
- Experience delivering customer projects in a consulting or managed services context
